The date of the next Book Fair is Saturday 2nd May 2020.
Read about the 2019 Autumn Book Fair by clicking below.
The Fair takes place at the Salle de Municipale in Campsegret 24140 on the RN21 between Bergerac and Perigueux. The coordinates are 44°56’07.9″N 0°33’48.5″E.
Doors open at 9.30am (9am for people with limited mobility) and close at 3pm. Children and dogs are welcome and entrance and parking is free.
The Phoenix Book Fair is a bi-annual event held in Spring and Autumn. There are usually more than 20,000 books available to purchase, priced from just €1. CDs and DVDs are also available to buy and there is usually a tombola, a plant stall and a bric-a-brac stall.
All proceeds from the Book Fair come to Phoenix Association to continue our work in saving, caring for and re-homing abandoned, abused and unwanted animals.
The amazing Phoenix Catering team serve the best ever home-made cakes, scones and other delicious delicacies, scrumptious savouries and perfect pastries. Many people say that these tasty offerings are the highlight of the event!
For logistical reasons, we prefer to receive your donations on the day of the Fair itself as transport and the manpower is available on these Fair days to handle the weight and bulk of books and other donated items… you can park very close by and we’ll help you unload! However, if you are leaving the country or for some reason can’t come to the Fair, please contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org to see if we can find another way to transport your items.
We gratefully accept fiction and non-fiction, all sorts of CDs, DVDs, vinyl records and other items. All antiquarian books are also very welcome as we always find enough interested people for these.
Please give us books that are in a condition that you yourself would like to buy. Broken, tatty and/or mouldy books as well as scratched or copied CDs and DVDs unfortunately do not sell.

Helping in Other Ways
Why not become a member of the Book Team? The wonderful Book Team meet every Friday at the sorting barn for several hours in a village just north of Bergerac. Here all the books are sorted and put into category and/or alphabet. The donated goods for the bric-a-brac, the puzzles, the toys and the prizes for the tombola, as well as the thousands of DVDS and CDS are sorted here too and made ready for each Fair.
For those of you who can bake… We would love your help and would very much appreciate your donation of baked treats such as cakes and savouries on the day for us to sell on the catering stand.
